ScienceofSpeed is excited to release our new coolant expansion tank for the NSX - the most advanced tank available for your NSX!

This coolant tank is a direct replacement for the factory plastic tank which leaks with time. This expansion tank is by far the most advanced expansion tank available evolved from over 3 years development.

Unlike other expansion tanks available, the ScienceofSpeed Coolant Expansion Tank does not require modification to the factory mounting tabs, factory coolant hoses, is the only design with a factory style internal baffle, and is also the only design to feature an external sight tube.

Construction:
The tank features lightweight aluminum construction. The tank is manufactured to retain the factory coolant tank's over-all dimensions. The tank is designed and manufactured using CNC water-jet & CNC formed manufacturing for exacting standards. This design bolts directly to the factory mounting tabs with no modification required. The tank is TIG welded for an attractive durable construction. The tank also uses billet aluminum factory sized tube connectors. No cutting is required and factory hoses slip right on and are secured with factory hose clamps.

Advanced Design:
The ScienceofSpeed Coolant Expansion Tank is the only expansion tank available with an internal baffle similar to the factory plastic coolant tank (see photo below). This prevents sloshing during aggressive driving which can induce air bubbles into the cooling system reducing it's efficiency.

This tank is also the only one designed to use rubber isolator mount located on the right side tab to dampen vibration to the coolant tank increasing it's durability and performance.

The mounting tabs are designed such that when the tank is installed, these tabs are nearly completely hidden!

The ScienceofSpeed Coolant Expansion Tank includes a billet aluminum filler neck that allows a perfect seal with the cap and allows easy installation and removal of the cap.

Sight-Glass Feature:
All ScienceofSpeed Coolant Expansion Tanks now include our exclusive sight-glass feature. Using specialty designed high pressure and high temperature tube fittings and tubing, this feature allows easy monitoring of the coolant level. This feature can be removed with the included plugs.

Finishes:
The ScienceofSpeed Coolant Expansion Tank is now available in a high quality satin silver luster, satin black, & red wrinkle powdercoated finishes or a mirror polished finish. ScienceofSpeed recommends the satin silver or satin black for the extreme durability and easy cleaning.

Kit includes tank, pressure cap with billet aluminum cap cover, sight glass fittings and tube, an extra sight glass tube, & optional plugs to remove sight glass feature.

1. internal baffle prevents slosh and introduction of air bubbles under aggressive driving. This is the same design as factory, and this is the only aftermarket coolant tank to feature this design.

2. full billet aluminum machined fittings for a clean look & secure connection with the hose.

3. billet aluminum water neck for easy screw-on fitting of the cap and best seal - welded on the inside for the cleanest look.

4. billet aluminum coolant cap with laser etched ScienceofSpeed logo completes the look.

5. exclusive sight glass feature: using specialty high temp / high pressure swivel fittings & tubing, our tanks feature an exclusive sight glass feature that allows viewing the coolant level.

6. hidden mounting tab: our new design hides the mounting tab behind the tank once installed. We also use an exclusive rubber mount isolator design that prevents vibration to the tank increase the tank's durability & performance. On the opposite side of the tank is a bracket that secures to the fuse box bracket & brake booster line. Unlike other tanks available, no modification is required and bolts to factory points.

Honda coolant expansion tank hose kit:

Replacement hose kit includes the three Honda rubber hoses used with the coolant expansion tank. These hoses wear and become brittle on older cars. We offer them as an optional purchase for customers who wish to replace these at the same time. Please note that these are included in our complete coolant rubber hose kit sold here.
