Downforce Center Console for Aftermarket Stereos

Unlike previous center consoles available made from fiberglass, the Downforce center console is molded directly from an original factory console and is manufactured out of urethane by injection molding. While normally cost prohibitive for small market vehicles like the NSX - Downforce was able to produce the consoles using injection molding with innovative manufacturing.

Injection molding allows each stand off boss and locating pin and tab to be retained making installation as simple as using a factory console. Fine details like the cut holes for the climate console, ash tray, e-brake, shifter, coin tray, and aspirator fan vents are preserved with the injection molding process. The fitment into the dash is identical to factory fitment.

The console's climate control, ash tray, gear selector, coin tray, and e-brake windows are pre-cut on all consoles. With this console you can replace rather than modify your factory center console - allowing you to revert back to the factory stereo at any time.

By making the console as close to installation ready as possible - this console cuts down on installation cost and easiest to use. Finishing and painting is required before installation. The consoles must be primed, sanded, and painted to insure the best results.

Pre-cut option:

We offer to pre-cut the console for popular single DIN and double DIN sizes as well as a custom-cut option.

The stereo cuts are made by using a custom fixture that locates and secures the console to be cut by a CNC mill. The CNC mill allows us to offer the cuts in a precise and consistent manner.

The consoles can also always by cut by hand using a high speed rotary cutter (Dremel, Rotozip, etc.) and sand paper.

The required cut size for the stereo varies from manufacture to manufacture. We provide two cut outs for either single or double DIN consoles below. These cuts will not fit all stereos. Please verify the dimensions before ordering. Cut console sales are final - no returns or exchanges available. If you are unsure on the size of your stereo - we recommend ordering the uncut console and having it cut and trimmed to size by a hobbyist or stereo installation professional. A custom cut option where the customer indicates requested cut dimensions is also available.
