Tempe, AZ - July 27, 2009 - ScienceofSpeed, specialists in Acura NSX and
Honda S2000 performance, announced today the win of DSport Magazine's
Honda S2000 Forced Induction Challenge.
Seven
of the leading manufacturers of supercharger and turbocharger systems
for the Honda S2000 were involved. The magazine's ultimate goal was to
offer a completely consistent testing environment to focus specifically
on the individual forced induction systems. Competing with
ScienceofSpeed's 2004 Honda S2000 and the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger
System, ScienceofSpeed placed first in the competition consisting of a
battery of tests including dyno testing, drivability evaluations,
emissions, cost, installation and maintenance ease, then finally, on
track evaluations at the hands of a professional driver at Streets of
Willow Raceway.
Says Chris Willson, General Manager of ScienceofSpeed: "The DSport
challenge was an exciting opportunity for the company to showcase the
capability of the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System. We were able to
demonstrate the system's capability in it's stage 2 level trim producing
over 396 wheel horsepower."
The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System, based on the Paxton
supercharger, is a bolt-on power-adding solution for the Honda S2000.
ScienceofSpeed would like to thank the staff of DSport Magazine for the
invitation to the event and the gracious sponsors of the competition who
made the event possible.
The competition is covered in DSport Magazine's September issue on
newsstands this week. The issue on newsstands includes a DVD with a
complete video production of the event.
