Hawk Brake Pads

Hawk Performance Brake Pads

Hawk HPS (street performance) Brake Pads:
Performance pad features minimal dusting and brake noise. Most like factory brake pads for noise/dusting. Excellent cold braking torque and good temperature resistance for aggressive driving. Recommended for primarily for street use with some aggressive driving.

This is our most popular pad enjoyed by customers looking for street type use with improved performance over the factory brake pad.

Hawk description:
Hawk Performance HPS compound provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance your driving experience.  This unique compound combines the safety and quality of Aerospace design partnered with the braking technology of motorsports.

Key Features:
  • Extremely low dust
  • High friction/torque hot or cold
  • Gentle on rotors
  • Virtually noise-free
  • Much improved braking over OE
  • Long extended pad life
Hawk HP+ (autocross and light track) Brake Pads:
The HP+ brake pads feature a slight increase in performance with slight dusting and noise compared to the HPS compound.

Hawk description:
The HP Plus Ferro-Carbon material can take the heat at the track and get you home safely without having to change your brake pads. This compound was designed for autocross, Solo II, and Track Day applications.

Key Features:
  • Extremely High Friction Output
  • Fade Resistant
  • Worthy for Autocross & Club Racing Events

ScienceofSpeed Recommended Brake Pad Rating Sheet

cold performance hot performance rotor friendliness noise & dusting
Hawk HPS 6 6 8 3

notes:

High performance street use - minimal dust/noise with improved performance over stock. Our most popular pad for most street driven vehicles.
Hawk HP+ 7 7 7 4

notes:

Street/track/autocross use - slight dust/noise over HPS but better thermal resistance. Can be used easily on the street and track.
Carbotech Panther Plus 7 9 7 7

notes:

Excellent choice for track use such as HPDE/driver's ed / time attack / open lapping days. Tremendous brake torque available in cold and hot operating conditions. More versatile operating temperatures than XP which should be used for dedicated track cars running endurance type events. Increased dust and noise but very rotor friendly. Can be used on the street for customers not minding the dust/noise.
Carbotech XP 6 10 6 9

notes:

Recommended for dedicated track cars running in endurance type track events. Peak operating conditions biased towards consistent high rotor temps found in endurance events. Rotor friendly but not recommended for street use due to the limited brake power in cold conditions.
