KVR / AP Racing Big Brake System

The KVR / AP Racing Big Brake system is a 4 wheel braking system that was developed specifically for the NSX taking into account the unique braking requirements of the mid engine design.

Other systems available use off the shelf components and adapting these components often lead to compromises such as deletion of the emergency brake and the required use of proportioning valves to regain some of the braking balance lost.

This system uses the high quality components including AP Racing 5200 series calipers. This design also offers good wheel clearance due to the compact AP Racing caliper design.

Discs are available with either slotted or cross drilled faces.

Construction:

Design eliminates the two largest problems with existing kits: brake balance and deletion of the factory e-brake.
This system was designed exclusively for the NSX, and is optimized for the NSX's weight distribution and braking characteristics. The result is linear balanced braking.
Sequentially-sized pistons are larger on the trailing edge than the leading edge of the caliper. Other brake kits are not.
Highest grade mounting hardware utilized including aircraft quality disc fasteners.
Lightweight 2 piece rotor uses 13" heat-treated discs & CNC aluminum billet hats.
Discs & calipers are supplied with painted thermal strips allowing user to monitor brake running temperatures.
