Racing Brake Oversized Rotor Big Brake Kit

Racing Brakes has engineered a big brake kit which use large 324/330mm (13") rotors and retains the factory calipers to achieve the significant brake performance and look of traditional big brake systems.

Larger brake rotors increase braking performance by increasing brake force and cooling capacity over the smaller factory brakes. In addition, the larger rotors fill out larger wheels eliminating the "small rotor" look.

Oversized brake rotors are a floating two piece design. Two piece construction reduces weight (due to aluminum center hub) where weight reduction improves suspension performance the most.
Outer disc is replaceable making long term costs less than a one piece rotor.
Patented convergent internal vane design is directional. Dramatically improves cooling efficiency and durability of rotors compared to standard straight vanes (used by factory and most aftermarket rotors). Internal vane design results in cooler rotor temperatures (100 deg F drop is common) compared to factory straight vane rotors.
The rotors feature a unique ground surface that improves brake pad break-in.
The rotors are use a proprietary paint on the non-contact surfaces to improve surface corrosion resistance.

Racing Brake is the only manufacture to offer a complete replacement caliper bracket. Racing Brake has engineered ductile iron caliper brackets that feature increased strength over the factory bracket and correct positioning of the brake caliper.

Other manufactures relocate the caliper over larger discs by using a simple to machine flat bracket. This does not correctly allow the relocated caliper to fully engage the brake rotor. Racing Brake explains why this method does not function correctly.

brake rotor surface finishes available:

drilled & slotted High performance look at the expense of possible increased cracking.
slotted only Good brake pad gas and debris sweeping performance - will not crack as easy as drilled disc.
open slots Patented (US Patent #: 7,097,007) machined slots are self cleaning and will not clog like a standard slotted disc. This design optimizes the friction between the pads and disc surface and achieve the highest level of braking performance that no other designs can provide.

17" or larger wheels required for the larger brakes. Front and rear brake lines are INCLUDED with the front brake kits. If the rear brake kit is purchased separately, a set of rear lines must be purchased separately.
