Designed for aftermarket clutches with
reduced release travel - the ScienceofSpeed Clutch Damper Delete & Slave
Hose Kit performs two functions. The first function is to replace the
factory clutch damper. This device acts as a cushion between the master
cylinder and slave cylinder. Using a flexible diaphragm, the clutch
damper reduces hydraulic system pulses at the expense of reduced slave
cylinder travel. By eliminating the damper, an additional .085" of
travel is achieved at the clutch fork and a more direct clutch feel is
produced reducing the "sponge" effect that many drivers complain about.
The second function is to replace the factory rubber slave hose with a
stainless steel reinforced synthetic hose.
The kit is a direct fit for the factory clutch damper bracket and slave
hose requiring no modification to the factory clutch hydraulic lines.
The kit includes a billet machined aluminum damper delete block and
slave cylinder adaptor, stainless steel braid reinforced hose, and
factory slave cylinder o-ring.
