ScienceofSpeed manufactured pulleys are
made for Comptech Supercharger Systems. The pulleys are available for
systems based on either the Whipple Supercharger or Autorotor
Supercharger. The smaller pulleys allow increased pressure for
additional performance when used with additional fueling and engine
control components.
Pulleys are precision machined from lightweight 6061 aluminum and
feature a special anodized black coating that prevents wear and
increases belt traction.
Note that measurements are taken on the top of the pulley teeth
(please see diagram) not on the face.
Pressure ratings depend on a variety of factors including supercharger
system efficiency, displacement, and ambient air density.
Whipple-based pulleys available:
86mm (Comptech "high boost")
3.0L NSX: approximately 9 psi
3.2L NSX: approximately 8 psi
Autorotor-based pulley available:
91mm (Comptech "high boost")
3.0L NSX: approximately 9 psi
3.2L NSX: approximately 8 psi
86mm (Comptech "higher boost")
3.0L NSX: approximately 9.5 psi
3.2L NSX: approximately 9 psi
