The AEM EMS, a stand alone programmable
engine management system, has become the most popular solution for
allowing full engine control for high performance natural aspiration,
supercharged, and turbocharged applications.
The next generation of the EMS - Series 2 - was released recently. Tied
together with the powerful laptop programmable AEMTuner software, the
Series 2 EMS has several key features compared to the Series 1 EMS
including USB port, faster onboard processor, increased memory, improved
sensor signal clarity, advanced knock and boost control options, and
enough coil drivers for sequential ignition.
Although not available through AEM, ScienceofSpeed has designed a
plug-and-play system based on a universal Series 2 EMS modified for the
1991-94 NSX application replacing the now discontinued 30-1042 Series 1
EMS.
The ScienceofSpeed designed AEM Series 2 EMS includes: |
- installs in minutes with plug and play installation
including VTEC leads requiring no cutting or modification of the
factory electrical harness - the car can be reverted back to factory
at any time
- NSX specific lightweight aluminum
mounting bracket and cover allows rigid installation, no exposed
jumper harness, and with ECU connectors in the factory position.
- full fuel, ignition, VTEC, and rev limiter control

context sensitive help and uses tuners' actual calibrations to
describe each function.
- Maps can be password protected
by the tuner to prevent unauthorized usage or sharing.

notifies tuner if obvious errors exist in assignment of
inputs/outputs.
- Compare Calibrations allows
tuners to graphically compare tables and maps for easy analysis.

customizable and configurable.
