Multi-Layer Steel Cylinder Head Gaskets
ScienceofSpeed Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head
gaskets are comprised of three layers of stainless steel with a thermal
protection coating of Viton on the external layers (heat resistant to
250 deg C). This is the same design used by Honda on the latest high
performance engines. MLS gaskets provide the best heat resistance and
even load distribution of any type of head gasket. This is an especially
vast improvement over the 3.0L graphite composite gasket for durability
and sealing.
Gaskets are designed with all factory coolant and oil ports and are available in sizes for
cylinder bores 90-95mm (factory bore size for 3.0L engines is 90mm,
factory bore size for 3.2L engines is 93mm).
In addition to the standard factory .030" thickness, the middle layer
can be varied in thickness from .027" - .120" to vary compression ratio.
Gaskets are sold as a pair for a complete engine. Thicknesses greater
than .051" are an extra charge. Please inquire with ScienceofSpeed for
