ScienceofSpeed NA Custom Engine Program

 

 
Utilizing our high performance internal engine components, ScienceofSpeed offers a custom engine program for increased displacement, power, and performance from the NSX V6 powerplant.

ScienceofSpeed offers these custom engine packages as a component package for your engine shop to complete or as a turn key fully rebuilt engine ready for installation.

In our turn key program, ScienceofSpeed will tear-down, modify, and rebuild engine. In addition to high performance modification, all wear items including gaskets and bearings are replaced to bring engine to fully rebuilt condition. Once completed, engine is ready for installation. Engine can either be removed at our facility in Tempe, Arizona, or the complete engine can be freighted to our facility for modification. Please note that these packages are for engine parts and labor only. Required engine management, fuel systems, intake and exhaust components are separate.

3.3L custom engine package increases displacement from 3.0L to 3.3L by way of enlarging piston bore from 90-95mm. 3.3L engine package includes special modified cylinder heads with ScienceofSpeed camshafts, valve springs, titanium retainers, and valves. Factory pistons are replaced with ScienceofSpeed billet pistons. Engine block is re-sleeved for 95mm piston bore.

3.0L and 3.2L engines may be used for this package. This engine package is for naturally aspirated applications only (no turbo/supercharged induction).

3.4L custom engine package increases displacement from 3.0L to 3.4L by way of increasing stroke from 78-88mm with the ScienceofSpeed Billet Stroker Crankshaft. Because the factory piston bore size is maintained, this package does not require re-sleeving of engine block. 3.4L engine package includes special modified cylinder heads with ScienceofSpeed camshafts, valve springs, titanium retainers, and valves. Factory pistons are replaced with ScienceofSpeed billet pistons.

Due to the 3.2L sleeve and connecting rod design, this package can only be used with a 3.0L engine. It can be installed in later model NSXes if a 3.0L long block is supplied. This engine package is designed for a naturally aspirated application. If turbo/supercharged induction will be used, custom billet connecting rods will be required.

3.6-3.8L custom engine package increases displacement from 3.0 to 3.6L-3.8L by way of increasing piston bore size from 90 to 92-95mm and increasing stroke from 78-88mm with the ScienceofSpeed Billet Stroker Crankshaft. Engine package includes special modified cylinder heads with ScienceofSpeed camshafts, valve springs, titanium retainers, and valves. Factory pistons are replaced with ScienceofSpeed billet pistons. Engine block is re-sleeved for larger piston bore.

This package may be used with a 3.0L or 3.2L engine. 3.2L engines will require 3.0L connecting rods to be supplied. This engine package is designed for a naturally aspirated application. If turbo/supercharged induction will be used, custom billet connecting rods will be required.
