The ScienceofSpeed Oil Feed & Oil Pressure
Adaptor is designed to allow installation of oil feed fittings (for
engine oil lubricated superchargers or turbochargers) or oil pressure sensors to the NSX
engine.
This feed eliminates the need to use T fittings off the factory pressure
switch location - which risks damage being near to the tire or failure
from putting weight on the factory cast aluminum housing not designed
for that purpose.
The adaptor allows the replacement of a
factory drill plug found on both the front and rear cylinder heads. It
threads into the factory's unique British taper threaded hole and allows
any fitting or sensor with a 1/8" NPT thread (the aftermarket industry
standard) to be installed. The fitting can be used with fittings and
hoses (not included) to feed oil pressure to superchargers and
turbochargers, or to allow aftermarket oil pressure sensors to be
installed. The location used is fed with constant oil pressure directly
from the crankshaft, so it is a reliable and consistent location to feed
or measure oil pressure from.
The fitting has a broached 6mm allen
socket for easy installation with a 6mm allen tool.
One fitting included. The common location
to use the fitting is the rear cylinder head which is most accessible.
Two fittings may be used on the front and rear cylinder heads to feed
oil and supply a oil pressure sensor, or a twin turbo configuration.
