Have you noticed your factory oil pressure
gauge performing erratically or not reading at all? This is common - and
in most cases - is not the gauge itself, but the engine-mounted sensor.
Vibration from the engine causes the factory pressure sensor to fail.
ScienceofSpeed has addressed this problem by not only upgrading the
sensor itself, but creating a relocation kit that removes the sensor
from the engine and mounts it to the firewall.
The kit includes a custom calibrated sensor that matches the factory
sensor's output. This sensor exceeds SAE guidelines for sensor vibration
resistance. The factory cylinder head cast mounting elbow is removed and
replaced with a billet machined aluminum block. This block allows
the included braided stainless steel line to be installed. The sensor is
tucked away behind the coolant expansion tank, out of sight, to
retain the OEM look of the engine bay. The sensor fits behind the
factory and aftermarket coolant expansion tanks. The sensor is tucked away out of sight to
retain the OEM look of the engine bay. The sensor kit allows the factory
plug to be used from the factory sensor - no cutting of the factory
engine harness required.
Kit includes pressure sensor, billet pressure sensor plate, new factory
o-ring, high pressure hose, mounting clamp, fasteners, & electrical
harness.
In addition to upgrading the factory design, the ScienceofSpeed sensor
kit is less than half the cost of the factory replacement sensor
($252.90). |
