ScienceofSpeed offers custom designed
forged aluminum pistons for the NSX. Custom compression and bore sizing for
both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications are available.
These pistons are the most advanced available featuring a lightweight
low friction design with proprietary dome designs that have been mapped
from 3.0L and 3.2L cylinder heads for maximum compression and quench
performance. |

Each piston is custom designed and
tailored for it's specific application. Pistons are manufactured from
high quality forgings and CNC machined to exacting standards. We feature
OEM-type replacement pistons as well as high performance pistons for
natural aspiration and forced induction (supercharged, turbocharged)
applications. Natural aspiration pistons feature lightweight high
performance designs while forced induction pistons feature durable
designs designed for high horsepower. |

These pistons are compatible with the
factory 3.0L engine block as well as 3.0L and 3.2L engine blocks that
have been sleeved. Pistons are supplied complete with ring, pin, and
lock sets. |

Special race coating bonds piston skirts
with moly (Molybdenum Disulfate) based coating. Coating results in reduced piston
friction through improved lubrication and increased ring life through
thermal insulation. |

We offer 5 general categories of pistons
depending on application (naturally aspirated or forced induction),
diameter range, and stroke). High performance NA pistons feature
additional internal CNC milling for weight reduction. Please contact us
for specific custom piston requirements. |
