The Locking Timing Belt Tensioner is
designed for high performance engines. Under inspection, we have found
the factory design to slip in high performance applications. This design eliminates the
chance of the factory tensioner becoming loose and causing the timing
belt to fail resulting in engine damage.
The locking tensioner uses a chromoly steel shaft with a high grade rod
end for tensioning adjustment. Unlike other designs available, the shaft
does not interfere with the water pump bolts and requires no
modification of the engine to install. In addition, the required
fasteners are included for installation. New pulleys & bearings are
used, we do not reuse used parts.
