ScienceofSpeed NSX Intake & Exhaust Valves

ScienceofSpeed offers lightweight high strength intake and exhaust valves for the NSX. Both intake and exhaust valves are manufactured. The intake valve is manufactured from stainless steel alloy and the exhaust valve is manufactured from an exotic Inconel alloy that offers extreme thermal resistance. The intake valve is black nitrite coated and the exhaust valve is chrome plated for increased shell hardness and lubricity.

Manufactured exclusively for the NSX, these valves feature a weight reducing dish. The intake valve features a tapered stem and swirl polished head which increase air flow speed and fuel atomization for maximum performance.

Intake valve set reduces valve train mass by 32.4 grams and exhaust valve set reduces valve train mass by an impressive 39.2 grams. Valve train weight reduction offers several benefits including a higher rev potential of the engine, reduced horsepower loss from inertial loss, and the ability to run lower valve spring spring rate leading to increased camshaft durability.

Valve widths and lengths are within factory spec allowing these valves to be compatible with the factory keepers, guides, and guide seals. Valve heads are 36mm for intake and 30mm for exhaust. 3.0L heads require the intake valve seat to be ground for 36mm which can be accomplished during a valve job.

Valves sold as a complete set (12 valves per intake or exhaust set).
