What is the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System for Honda S2000?

The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System is a drop-in power adding product for the Honda S2000 that increases wheel horsepower by over 100 hp in the standard configuration. The system is based on Paxton Automotive's latest centrifugal supercharger which was chosen by ScienceofSpeed based on several factors not limited to the unit's ability to produce smooth power delivery that we feel is best suited to the nature of the S2000. Systems will be available for all S2000 years.

How is the ScienceofSpeed system different from other forced induction products currently available?

ScienceofSpeed has been installing, modifying, and stretching the limits of existing supercharger kits for more than 6 years. While we recognized benefits of other supercharger systems on the market, we have never been 100% satisfied with any in particular. By starting from scratch, we have been able to produce a system that addresses our design objectives.

What are the key points of the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System?

The system is reasonably priced.
The system does not require cutting or bending of any sheet metal or frame components as other systems do. The installation is 100% reversible.
The system features a design that is extremely easy to install. Installation time has been reduced by more than 2 hours compared to other available systems.
The system features a superior belt drive and tensioning assembly maximizing belt wrap for consistent performance with either standard or smaller "high boost" pulleys.
The system is easily expandable allowing customers to easily get into a high performance kit with the advantages of being able to add power down the road with bolt-on accessories.
The system is based on a proven compressor design which has been long established in the automotive market.

What will the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System cost?

The system is expected to retail for $3895.00 (non-aftercooled) and $4895.00 (aftercooled). These prices are estimated and subject to change.

How much power does the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger Produce?

Standard aftercooled systems produce in excess of 300 wheel horsepower (approximately 100 wheel horsepower over stock). High power systems with supporting engine modifications are producing over 450 wheel horsepower (approximately 250 wheel horsepower over stock).

When will the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System be available for sale?

The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System is currently under final beta testing on both street and race cars. Our expected release date for public sale is late summer.

Can my car be a beta tester?

ScienceofSpeed currently has several systems installed on both street and race cars. We have a few additional slots available for a local (Phoenix, AZ) owners interested. Please e-mail info@ScienceofSpeed.com for interest.

What other parts will I need to buy to install a ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System?

Everything will be included in the system for a direct bolt-on installation. We have taken extraordinary steps to insure that even the home mechanic can install the system with ease with all components included.

How will my gas mileage be affected?

Overall gas mileage will be minimally affected. The system is designed with a bypass valve that recirculates pressurized air when the system is not under load. If your foot is not depressing the gas pedal, the system does not pressurize the engine. Due to this, freeway mileage is roughly the same as it is from the factory.

What finishes are available?

The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System is available in the signature stealth black, natural aluminum, and polished finishes.

What testing has been completed?

ScienceofSpeed has been in the development and testing phase for nearly two years for this system. Countless durability testing has been logged on a loading dynamometer system, street testing, and track testing. The systems were initially installed on the companies AP1, AP2, and road race car for durability testing and we have since opened our testing to beta tester customers.

What kind of warranty is included from ScienceofSpeed?

We stand behind our products. ScienceofSpeed offers a 1 year limited warranty from the date of sale on the ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System. A warranty card is included with the supercharger system.
