The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System is a drop-in power adding product
for the Honda S2000 that increases wheel horsepower by over 100 hp in
the standard configuration. The system is based on Paxton Automotive's
latest centrifugal 1200 series supercharger which was chosen by ScienceofSpeed based
on several factors not limited to the unit's ability to produce smooth
power delivery that we feel is best suited to the nature of the S2000.
Our primary design objective was to integrate a system that positively
enhances the power of the S2000 with out taking away from aspects like
drivability and reliability.
The experience of installing, maintaining, and tuning existing power
solutions for the S2000 has given us unique experience and knowledge to lend to the
development of a system that has met these design objectives. |

- serious power:
The aftercooled version of the supercharger produces up to 100
horsepower increases straight out of the box. The system is easily
expandable to produce 150+ horsepower on a factory engine while on
built engines we have produces over 250 horsepower (450 wheel
horsepower!) However, this power is controllable and easy to drive
with smooth linear torque delivery.
- factory quality:
No compromises were made in the selection of our components. The
quality is in the details including the use of aerospace
vibration isolation mounts, 6061 aluminum machined brackets (not
cast like other systems), factory metric
flange fasteners, stainless steel smooth hose clamps, among other
examples.
- plug and play tuning system
 The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger system includes a robust fuel
management system. The system includes the ScienceofSpeed FVM
(fuel/VTEC/MAP) Controller which allows electronic control of the
fuel injectors to supply the required amount of fuel for the
increased power, lowering of the VTEC engagement system for a smooth
powerband, and MAP control. Also included in the system is a fuel
pressure regulator and fuel pump.
- rigorous testing:
The system was prototyped, designed, and tested in Phoenix
Arizona. All S2000 design years have been included for street, and
dyno durability testing. In addition, the system has been used on
ScienceofSpeed's
road race S2000.
- simple bolt on installation:
This system is by far the least complex to install. Our system
includes custom made brackets, preformed hoses, and other components
that make installation simple and straight forward.
- don't cut or drill your S2000!
The requirements of other systems to cut, drill, or bend factory metal components was not
acceptable. Unlike all other system - the ScienceofSpeed
supercharger system does not require cutting, drilling, or bending
of any factory metal components. Decide to sell your car in the
future - the system is 100% reversible.
- no core charges or exchanges
required:
All new parts means no core charges or exchanges like other systems
available.
- most expandable:
The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System is the most expandable on the
market. With simple modifications, the system will easily support
over 350 wheel horsepower on factory engines and over 500 wheel
horsepower
on built engines.

Power is plenty everywhere in the rpms but I like it much when
it is up 4500 rpms WOT (this is where I'll lose traction on 1st
gear!!! It's insane!!)
