Supercharger System

ScienceofSpeed Supercharger Self Lubricating Option

ScienceofSpeed offers Paxton Supercharger's self lubricating (SL) option. The self lubricating model, as the name suggests, consists of an internal oil supply system eliminating the need to rely on the engine to supply lubrication to the compressor by way of feed and return hoses.

The self lubricating design was pioneered by Paxton in the 50's and has come into production in Paxton's most recent systems by the development of an internal oiling system that is compact, easy to maintain, and most importantly, features the same durability and reliability of the engine oil fed systems.

This system includes an internal oil lubrication system. The supercharger is also supplied with a dip stick for checking oil level and a stainless steel braided drain line that allows the user to easily change the oil (see photo below). The first compressor oil change must be completed at the 2,500 mile mark, and every 7,500 mile mark or sooner after that point. The SL option includes the first fill and three oil change bottles (for a total of 25,000 miles of driving). ScienceofSpeed also offers additional three pack oil change bottle kits.

the oil change takes less than 10 minutes thanks to a convenient drain line:
