Cantrell
Concepts Advanced Header System |
| |
The
Cantrell Concepts Advanced Header System is the result of 2 years of
thorough exhaust testing and tuning to produce an exhaust header design
that maximizes exhaust flow efficiency. The result is an exhaust header
that dramatically increases power over stock and exceeds gains of other
manufactures. |

Typical power gains: |
- 1991-1996 3.0L NSX: 24-26 hp
- 1997-2005 3.2L NSX: 16-18 hp
|
|
In addition to header design, Cantrell Concepts addressed
the issues of other brands long term durability by using a factory-style ball
socket joint and have addressed the issue of some brands requiring modification
to the factory harness by supplying factory-style 02 sensor extensions. |
|
|
|
The design utilizes equal length primary tubes with a 3-1 merge
collector ahead of the factory catalytic converter. The flanges and
tubing are T304 stainless steel and utilize precision back-gassed TIG
welding.

baseline dyno: click for larger |
Numerous dyno runs were performed and was
limited to running on one vehicle under the same conditions for the most
consistent testing.
On 1991-1996 models, the header produces 25 or more rear wheel
horsepower when used with a free flowing exhaust system (TAITEC GT
Lightweight, ARK, or Comptech exhausts preferred).
In addition, compared to another popular aftermarket brand, in a back to
back dyno test, the Cantrell Concepts Advanced Header System averaged a
gain of 1-3 horsepower and 1-5 lb/ft of torque. |
|
|
|
Kits include headers, factory quality hardware, factory-style
02 sensor extensions, and gaskets. 1991-1994 models include additional
connecting pipes. |
