Advanced Headers

ScienceofSpeed Advanced Header System

The ScienceofSpeed Advanced Header System replaces the factory cast iron (91-94) exhaust manifolds with tubular stainless steel headers that improve power over the factory design and reduces overall weight.

Typical power gains:

1991-1996 3.0L NSX: 24-26 hp
1997-2005 3.2L NSX: 16-18 hp

In addition to header design, ScienceofSpeed addressed the issues of other brands long term durability by using a factory-style ball socket joints. The headers allow direct installation - no modifications required, allowing the use of the factory oxygen sensors with the supplied oxygen sensor extension harnesses with factory plugs.

The design utilizes equal length primary tubes with a 3-1 merge collector ahead of the factory catalytic converter.

Numerous dyno testing were performed and was limited to running on one vehicle under the same conditions for the most consistent testing.

In our testing, 1991-96 models produced gains of 24-26 hp and 1997-2005 models produced 16-18 hp when used with free flowing exhaust systems.

Kits include headers, factory quality hardware, factory-style 02 sensor extensions, and gaskets. 1991-1994 models include additional connecting pipes.
