ScienceofSpeed Rapid Shift Knobs are the
only shift knobs designed specifically for the Acura NSX.
The shift knobs feature a unique clip that allows the knob to click into
the factory shift boot's retainer ring. This keeps the boot from sagging
down exposing the unfinished shift stalk.
This design is compatible with either the factory leather boot with the
clip shown, and can also be used with the NSX-R shift boot by attaching
the clip from the leather boot to the NSX-R boot.

Tear Drop Shift Knob
The ScienceofSpeed Rapid Tear Drop Shift
Knob is designed with a tapered "tear drop" profile that customers that
hold the knob on the side find the most popular. This knob is made
specifically for the NSX with the boot clip found at the base of the
knob.
These shifts knobs shorten the position of the shift knob by
approximately 20mm which is the same drop in height as designed into the
NSX-R (performance version of the NSX sold in Japan). This results in a
shorter quicker shift throw.
The ScienceofSpeed Rapid Tear-Drop Shift Knob is machined on a high precision CNC lathe out of
T304 stainless steel. The stainless steel alloy is heavy - allowing
smooth shifting action as the knob sinks into the gear you select with
ease. The knobs are finished in a swirl semi-luster finish that looks
great in the car.
