Based on our testing to develop the
ultimate performing and smooth riding suspension at a reasonable price,
we're excited to release the new ScienceofSpeed-Spec JIC Suspension Kit
for all NSX years.
In development, the following objectives were identified: |
- Must out perform existing threaded
body coil over systems in suspension dampening response in this price
range.
- Must out perform existing threaded
body coil over system in spring feedback & consistency at any ride
height possible.
- Maintain good drivability and smooth
ride through high damper response and fluid displacement.
- Improve corner turn-in response and
vehicle stability through high speed corners that affects other thread
body coil other systems in this price range.
- Keep total cost under $2000.00

- High quality Japanese made mono-tube damper
and springs.
- Large 16mm piston allows rapid
damper response and high fluid displacement for even small suspension
movements. This results in the suspension being very smooth on the
street.
- Custom ScienceofSpeed-spec valving
and spring rates design based on testing to produce a smooth yet high
performance suspension.
- Linear rate spring for consistent
spring rate performance under full compression range.
- Adjustable length damper allows ride
height change by adjusting damper length rather than spring perch.
This allows only one spring to be required per damper - eliminating the
helper spring, which reduces noise, weight, and ensures consistent
spring rate through compression and rebound of damper. No
rattling of spring under full droop (full extension) by use of
adjustable lower mount. A small pre-load is put on the spring that
keeps tension on the main spring at all times.
- Adjustable ride height
(compression/rebound combined) adjusts easily by top mounted adjuster.
- Semi-rigid rubber upper mount and
lower mount reduces noise and vibration to the cabin while still
offering precise suspension feedback.
- Lightweight billet aluminum lower
body and upper hats. 11.9 lbs front, 10.8 lbs rear results in a weight
savings of more than 9 lbs of crucial un-sprung mass compared to the
factory suspension.
- High strength steel threaded inner
body and piston.
- Allows ride height to be set at up
to 1.75" drop while not hitting bump stops under full compression.
- Billet aluminum adjustment tool and
spanner wrenches included.

Adjustable ride height ranges: |
- 0" (stock) to -1.6" below stock ride
height (std ride height model)
- -1.6" to -2.7" below stock ride
height (low ride height model)
|

These ride height ranges are determined by
the springs used. The standard ride height model uses 180mm long
springs, the low ride height model uses 150mm springs. These springs are
interchangeable. |

This suspension is based on the JIC FLT-A2
using custom spec dampers, valving and springs. The retail price of the
standard FLT-A2 is $2165.00. We offer a discounted price from volume
purchases with the manufacture. |
