- What is a "coil-over
suspension": The term coil-over simply refers to a damper /
spring design where the spring is placed over the damper (also
known as shock). A coil-over suspension is not necessarily "height
adjustable". A height adjustable coil-over suspension is a
standard coil-over suspension with a threaded damper body that
allows the owner to raise and lower the car to achieve a desired
ride height.
