ATS Limited Slip Differential

Description

ATS Japan has been developing performance parts since 1995 to enthusiasts all over the world. Its race proven drive train parts are especially well known throughout the performance industry. Since its introduction to the market in 2001, the ATS carbon LSD has amazed drivers with its performance, excellent control, superior locking, and incredible durability.

Final drive ratio:
The ATS LSD is available in the final drive ratio: 4.23:1. The 4.23:1 is based on the NSX-R final drive. LSDs with the 4.23:1 ratio include the LSD ring gear. The factory NSX-R 4.23 countershaft, oil gear, and stopper plate are sold separately (available for 5-spd or 6-spd) as shown. Please note: the 4.23:1 ratio is not compatible with the factory 1995-05 electronic power steering system. The 4.23:1 ratio is recommended for most customers, especially for forced induction engines.

LSD discs:
The ATS LSD is available with two different disc options: metal type and carbon type. The metal type is less expensive, offers good performance, and resists high temperatures. The carbon type disc offers slightly smoother engagement and holding power however, for racing applications with longer race time - monitoring transmission fluid temperature is recommended to avoid temperatures above 150 degrees C (302 F).
