Description

The ScienceofSpeed AEM Infinity Engine Control Unit (ECU) & Harness System for 1995-05 NSX is a programmable plug-and-play engine management system that allows total standalone control of fuel, ignition, VTEC, along with other engine functions based on the advanced AEM Infinity ECU. The system completely replaces the factory ECU & throttle body assembly.

The AEM Infinity ECU features a latest generation 32 bit 200 MHz processor capable of processing eight or more times faster than comparable engine management systems. This processing power allows for a volumetric efficiency tuning platform with real time closed loop fuel calculations allowing for increased fuel and ignition control allowing engines to produce more power.

The plug-and-play electrical harness designed, tested, and built in house by ScienceofSpeed integrates to the factory engine and cabin harness with out cutting required. The complete system can be installed and removed with out modification to the vehicle. An accessory connector set allows the addition of a variety of sensors, such as fuel pressure and oil pressure.

The included electronic throttle body is a OEM Tier-1 grade component. The throttle body mates to the NSX intake manifold with a machined billet 6061 aluminum adapter and includes a wire harness for the throttle body. Three sizes are available: 65mm (for factory intake coupler), 70mm (for 3" couplers, commonly used with turbocharger systems, and 75mm for the ScienceofSpeed TVS Supercharger, which requires the additional purchase of the 75mm throttle kit. This system removes the factory ECU, and traction control unit. Built-in traction control is included with the AEM Infinity, and the ScienceofSpeed wire harness allows the factory traction control on/off switch to be used as well as the factory traction control status lamp.

Systems based on the AEM Infinity 506 and Infinity 708 are available. The AEM Infinity 506 features 6 dedicated injector and coil outputs and a single channel on-board wideband sensor controller. The Infinity 708 adds an additional on-board wideband sensor controller, and an increased number of inputs. Note: due to the limited inputs / outputs of the Infinity 506, the Infinity 708 should be considered if the application requires extensive input / output control. Use of this product must be used in accordance with the Clean Air Act, and any other Federal, State, or Local mandated regulations. The use of this product must only be used on a vehicle in sanctioned competition events and may not be used on public roads, streets, or highways. A Vehicle Compliance Waiver is required for all products marked "Racing Competition Only".  This product replaces the factory ECU, so the factory OBD system and cruise control systems are no longer functional.

Options

  • Infinity: choose between the AEM Infinity 506 or 708. The 708 features additional inputs and outputs. Due to the limited inputs / outputs of the Infinity 506, the Infinity 708 should be considered if the application requires extensive input / output control.   • Throttle body: the factory throttle body includes a 64mm throttle blade. Three throttle body sizes are available, depending on the coupler you wish to use.
    • 65mm: compatible with factory rubber coupler. Ideal for naturally aspirated or supercharged applications compatible with the factory coupler (this is the standard throttle body included in the ScienceofSpeed Stage 2 TVS Supercharger System.
    • 70mm: not compatible with the factory rubber coupler. Requires a 3" coupler (not included). This is the standard throttle body included with the ScienceofSpeed Twin Turbocharger System.
    • 75mm: designed exclusively for the ScienceofSpeed TVS Supercharger System. Not compatible with the factory intake manifold. Requires the ScienceofSpeed 75mm Throttle Body Kit for ScienceofSpeed TVS Supercharger System.
  • Fuel Pressure Sensor & Fitting kit: highly recommended. Closed loop fuel calculations can be precisely calculated by the AEM Infinity with less reliance on wideband sensors with fuel pressure sensor input. This provides a level of engine safety in case of a fuel pump failure.
  • UEGO wideband controller & sensor: Infinity 506 ECU's include only one wideband O2 input (only one required for single turbocharger systems). For naturally aspirated, supercharged, or twin turbocharged engines, a second external wideband is required. The AEM inline wideband controller is recommended. 
  • MAP sensor: the AEM Infinity is compatible with the factory MAP sensor, capable up to 10 PSI of manifold pressure. For higher boost applications, a higher capacity MAP sensor is recommended: ScienceofSpeed 3 BAR or AEM 3.5 BAR MAP sensor.
  • oil pressure & oil temperature sensors: oil pressure and oil temperature sensors may be added for additional engine safety functions.
  • electronic boost control solenoid: for turbocharged applications, the AEM Infinity can control boost with a wastegate electronic boost control solenoid.
  • FlexFuel (E85) sensor: sensor & installation kit allows for FlexFuel tuning.
  • telemetry display products: view like data from your Infinity with out a laptop. The AEM Infinity is compatible with CAN telemetry display devices like the gaugeART Video Gauge Adapter, gaugeART CAN Gauge, and AEM CD Dash.
