ScienceofSpeed NSX-R Style Chassis Reinforcement Braces - NSX, 1991-05

The NSX-R is a special factory-tuned performance model offered for sale in Japan. The 2002 NSX-R features two chassis-strengthening reinforcement bars at the tips of the front frame rails. The front bar is installed in front of the radiator. The lower bar is installed under the vehicle above the battery tray. These chassis bars increase structural rigidity and dynamic toe change during aggressive driving resulting in increased handling sharpness and response. These braces make a significant improvement in the handling of all NSXes.

Unfortunately, the supply of factory parts has dried up and future availability is unknown. ScienceofSpeed has reverse-engineered the factory brace and has created our own extrusion that replicates the factory shape. Using the same lightweight aluminum alloy and heat treatment, we have been able to match the strength and lightweight characteristics of the factory NSX-R brace. 

All hardware required for installation is included. Unlike the factory front bar brackets, the included ScienceofSpeed brackets eliminate the need to cut the tie-down hooks or remove them altogether. This allows the bar to fit properly on a standard NSX! The brackets also retain the tie-down hooks for proper shipment and transportation of your NSX.
