ScienceofSpeed MLS Head Gasket Set - NSX, 1991-05

ScienceofSpeed Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gaskets are comprised of three layers of stainless steel with a thermal protection coating of Viton on the external layers (heat resistant to 250 deg C). This is the same design used by Honda on the latest high-performance engines.

MLS gaskets provide the best heat resistance and even load distribution of any type of head gasket. This is an especially vast improvement over the 3.0L graphite composite gasket for durability and sealing.

Gasket thickness differs based on engine type (C30A, C32B) and the gasket the piston was designed for.

Note: C30A engines must be surfaced to remove factory gasket material. If a deck can not be surfaced, the factory composite gasket should be used.

Standard stocking gasket:

C30A, 90.5mm bore (1.1mm / .045" thick)
C30A, 93.0mm bore (1.1mm / .045" thick)
C32B, 93mm bore (.75mm / .030" thick)
Configurable gasket: Configurable gaskets can be designed based on your cylinder bore & desired thickness. Thickness can be adjusted to accommodate for significant decking required for a warped head. Lead time for a custom gasket set is 6-8 weeks. 

Thickness: select from .030", .045", or .051"
Cylinder Bore: select from 90-95mm
