Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Unit Repair - NSX, 1991-05

The original SRS Unit was built using the same problematic components as the climate control unit, radio and amplifiers.  These components will leak, causing corrosion on the circuit board resulting in damage to the board and related components. The SRS light coming on is the first sign that damage has already occurred, and repair is now past due.  We recommend rebuilding the SRS unit before the warning lamp comes on - as the warning lamp may indicate that there is too much damage to repair.  Repair includes replacing the known-bad components with higher-quality ones that won't have the same issue and, if possible, repairing any other damage caused by these previously bad components. 

Symptoms:

• SRS Light On
• SRS fuse is blown

Note: You may experience 1 or more symptoms at a time.  While the rebuild ensures the module is working properly at the time of the rebuild, it does not ensure that other unrelated aging components, such as the airbag, are in working order.
