ScienceofSpeed Fuel Pump Complete Easy Wiring Kits

The factory fuel pump wiring, 1.5mm in diameter (slightly larger than 16 AWG) is sized for the less than 10 amps the factory fuel pump draws. Most aftermarket pumps require more than 10 amps of current - and when using the small factory fuel pump wiring, the aftermarket fuel pump can flow much less than expected, and may cause a engine safety issue. ScienceofSpeed recommends upgrading the wiring for any applications that require 13 or more amps of current.

ScienceofSpeed has designed a fuel pump wiring harness kit that replaces the factory wiring to supply up to 20 amps of current to either a single in-tank pump or up to 60 amps of current to two or three pumps (such as when a surge tank is used).

Especially important is the factory terminals that ScienceofSpeed has sourced from Japan to use with the factory electrical terminals. This allows the heavier gauge wire to be installed all the way to the top of the fuel pump carrier.

single in-tank fuel pump wiring kit: provides 20 amp of current to in-tank fuel pump (can also be used for an external single fuel pump). All external terminals & housings are sealed to meet SAE automotive wiring specifications. All components required for installation provided, including:

• 12 AWG, 20 amp fused power source harness from battery to rear mounted relay
• high quality German-made 40 amp relay & connector
• 14 AWG +12V & ground factory fuel pump harness including terminals to reuse factory fuel pump carrier top connector
• terminals to reuse factory fuel pump carrier bottom connector (attaches to harness provided by fuel pump manufacture)

multi-fuel pump wiring kit: provides 60 amp of current to rear mounted fuse panel for feeding power up to 3 pumps - such as an in-tank fuel pump and single or dual fuel pumps used in ScienceofSpeed Fuel Surge Tank System. All external terminals & housings are sealed to meet SAE automotive wiring specifications. All components required for installation provided, including:

• 8 AWG, 60 amp fused power source to rear mounted fuse distribution block
• sealed fuse holder with stainless bracket allows factory quality installation
• sealed fuse holder features special OEM-quality fuse designed for high in-rush current applications (ie. multiple fuel pumps)
• fuse panel with stainless bracket that mounts hidden under factory rear interior panel mounting location
• three high quality German-made 40 amp relay & connectors - allows for staging third pump only when needed
• 14 AWG +12V & ground factory fuel pump harness including terminals to reuse factory fuel pump carrier top connector
