Mounting of an oil pressure sensor directly on the engine can cause vibration transmission to produce noisy sensor output and decrease the life of the sensor.
The ScienceofSpeed Oil Pressure Installation Kit remote mounts the sensor off the engine to the firewall using a teflon / braided stainless hose. The kit includes a 1/8 BSP adapter to install a fitting in place of the factory oil pressure switch. Note: this removes the factory oil pressure switch that turns on the low oil pressure lamp on the dash. A suitable gauge or dash should be used that allows a low oil pressure warning to be displayed.
The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System (starting in 2023 with serial SO59086) includes a port and ScienceofSpeed Turbocharger System oil filter adapters may drilled and tapped to work with this kit. These two options do not require the removal of the factory oil pressure switch.
Compatible with any pressure sensor with 1/8" NPT male thread (such as the AEM sensors sold here, 150 PSI recommended for oil pressure).
