Climate Control Unit Repair - NSX, 1991-05

A common problem with older NSXes is the climate control circuit board failing. Typical symptoms include the climate control blower fan control knob not responding or the fan only blowing on the high setting. We replace the defective circuitry with new upgraded components and test and verify each function on a test bench that replicates the factory climate control system.

We offer the repair via three methods:

• customer supplied climate control unit board in housing: send us your climate control unit in the plastic housing as shown. We will repair your climate control circuit board and return back to you. No core exchange deposit. Repairs usually take between 2-4 weeks from receipt to be completed and shipped back to you.
• customer supplied complete climate control unit: send us your complete climate control unit assembly including front face plate and rear section. We will repair your climate control circuit board and inspect, clean, and repair your face plate for functionality issues (burnt out bulb, inoperable buttons / switches). This does not address cosmetic issues, like the paint being worn. No core exchange deposit. 
• core exchange: we send you a repaired climate control circuit board in the plastic housing as shown first, then you send your original back to us within 30 days of receipt. Our exchange program allows for no downtime of your car. A refundable core charge will be charged (see "ScienceofSpeed Core Exchange Program" below).

Each unit is tested completely before shipping using a test bench including the NSX blower and vent assembly ensuring that the climate control circuit board is working properly after repair.

Special note:
In rare cases, the climate control unit circuit board can be severely damaged beyond repair. In this case, the core charge is non-refundable. If you wish to avoid this rare chance, we recommend sending your unit to us rather than using our core exchange program. Check out our blog post explaining the issue, here.
